Community Vaccines
​
Our Community Vaccine Clinic is held on the last Saturday of every month and is by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call 641-774-2840.
We offer free and low-cost preventive care, including vaccines, microchips, Idexx heartworm testing, FeLV/FIV testing, comprehensive Idexx wellness profiles, and nail trims. We also collaborate with local veterinary clinics to help connect pets with the ongoing care they need.
Pet Pantry

Our Pet Food Pantry is available Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–4:00 PM during our regular business hours. The pantry helps families keep their pets fed during difficult times by providing pet food and supplies as available. No appointment is necessary—simply stop by during pantry hours.
Found or Lost Pets

If you've lost or found a pet, please contact us right away. We encourage you to make a Facebook post and share it in local lost and found pet groups—we'll gladly share your post to help reunite pets with their families.
A 24-hour microchip scanner is located outside the front of our shelter and is available anytime. Instructions for use are posted at the scanner, making it easy to check for a microchip, even when we're closed.
The best way to help your pet get home quickly is to keep their microchip information current. If your pet isn't microchipped yet, we offer low-cost microchipping through our community programs.
Rehoming Assistance

If you need to rehome your pet, our website includes a link to create an adoption profile through Adopt a Pet's Rehome program. This secure, nationwide platform helps connect your pet with potential adopters while allowing them to remain in your home until a new family is found.
Create a detailed profile with clear photos and an honest description of your pet's personality, behavior, medical history, and needs. The more information you provide, the better the chances of finding the right match.
Interested adopters will submit applications through the platform, and you remain in control of the process. Your personal information stays private, and you decide who ultimately adopts your pet.
