Support Almost Home on the TREAT app
TREAT is a free mobile game that allows users to play as virtual pets to earn real treats, food, and supplies for shelter dogs through Chewy. Players select real, adoptable dogs from local shelters, and by playing, they help these dogs receive essential items, with notifications sent when the dog is adopted.

Check some of our FAQs below to learn more about the game!
Do you actually get deliveries from TREAT?
Yes, we get weekly deliveries of food, treats, and medical supplies. The total amount of based on the number of people who are playing and supporting our shelter, but every little bit helps our shelter!
I saw my dog was adopted. Why are they still on TREAT?
TREAT automatically pulls information about our adoptable dogs from our Petfinder account. There are sometimes glitches in the system and it can take awhile for your dog to show as "adopted" in the TREAT game.
Does the dog I play for actually get the treats I send?
TREAT combines all treats/food into weekly shipments so we don't necessarily give your treats to only your dog. All of our dogs get the food and treats split. Again, the more people who play, the more treats and food we get and the more your dogs get too!
Can more than one player have a dog at the same time?
Yes, all players could have all of our dogs in the TREAT app.
If my dog is hungry in the game, are they hungry in real life?
Nope! If deliveries from Treat stopped tomorrow, our dogs would still be fed. TREAT is just another great way we get food, but it's not our only source.
How can I learn more about the dogs I have on the TREAT app?
Check out their profiles! Our dogs are all wonderful and each have their own personality.
